Black babies are twice as likely to die as white babies in their first years of life. Black women are three to four times more likely to die from pregnancy-related complicated than white women.

Between 2018-2020, I reported and moderated conversations centered on these heartbreaking statistics, the lives they’ve touched and the people working to complicate the narrative and improve outcomes.
